Overview: The Expansion Milestone

Version 0.3.4 represents one of the single largest content and visual upgrades delivered by Team Nebula for LoveManiac. Expanding far beyond earlier prototypes, this milestone introduced an in-game economy through Nebby's Shop, completely refreshed the visual presentation of key characters, and broadened narrative branching with over a dozen new scene interactions.

Nebby's Shop & Main Menu Integration

A major highlight of version 0.3.4 is the introduction of Nebby directly onto the primary start menu. Players can now seamlessly access Nebby's Shop, an interactive storefront offering in-game goods, comedic collectibles, and scene keys.

Chara Sprite Redesign & Battle Sprites

Chara received an extensive visual overhaul in 0.3.4. Team Nebula redrew all core character portrait expressions, dialogue animations, and combat sprites.

  • Updated First Battle Sprites: The opening battle sequence now features smoother multi-frame pixel animations, making projectile releases and visual attack cues clearer to read.
  • Expressive Dialogue Reactions: Additional emotional expressions were added to accompany comedic dialogue branches.

15 New Scene Branches & Overworld

Story content experienced an enormous expansion with the addition of:

  • 6 Brand New Scenes: Introducing new narrative encounters and comedic storylines across the newly expanded overworld continuation.
  • 9 Second-Round Scenes: Deepening existing character arcs with extended dialogue choices for players who revisit scenes.
  • 2 New Character Skins: Selectable cosmetic visual styles accompanied by their own custom comedic scenes.

Cutscene Skip & Quality of Life

Replayability received a massive boost with the addition of the Cutscene Skip button. Players revisiting scenes to hunt down alternate routes can now instantly fast-forward through dialogues they have already unlocked, jumping straight to critical decision junctions or bullet-hell battle phases.

Mac Test & Feedback Systems

Expanding beyond Windows PC and Android, Team Nebula distributed an experimental Mac test version to gather community feedback on Apple hardware. To streamline bug reporting, in-game community feedback forms were directly integrated into the client.
